Wedding Flowers Timeline from Fleurissimo | Florist NYC | NYC Event Flowers

You’re getting married- congratulations! After deciding your budget, setting a date and securing your dream venue, you are ready to start thinking about your wedding flowers! How soon should you get in touch with a NYC florist? When do you pay? You may be wondering how it all works, so Fleurissimo NYC have set out a timeline below so that you know exactly what to expect and when to start planning all things for your New York wedding floral !

9-15 months before the wedding:

Around this time is when Fleurissimo NYC recommends getting into contact with your chosen florist. A consultation will be set up where you will be able to share your ideas with the professionals and they will put together a custom proposal for you. They will be able to suggest ideas to suit your budget!

4-6 months before the wedding:

You will receive a contract from the florist which you will be asked to read over and sign. Upon signing, you will be asked to pay a 30% deposit. This is also a good opportunity for you to let the florist know of any installation rules or time restrictions at your chosen venue so that they can factor these into the contract.

6-8 weeks before the wedding:

At this stage, it is useful to arrange a meeting with your florist so you can see some samples of the flowers for your big day! This exciting meeting will allow you to make any last-minute changes or alterations to the proposal in case you have had to tweak your budget since the last meeting.

4 weeks before the wedding:

By this point, you should have confirmed numbers for your special day. Fleurissimo NY suggest that you confirm these numbers with your florist, in case there are any last minute changes or updates that might affect your floral arrangements.

2 week before the wedding (not long to go now!!):

This is when the florist NYC will require the remaining balance and the proposal will be finalized. After this, it is very difficult to make any changes so make sure you are 100% happy with everything!

1-2 weeks before the wedding:

This is the time to confirm contact details for the day and to check the delivery time and location with the florist. Fleurissimo NYC understands that you probably have a million things to do at this point so suggests assigning this job to a trusted member of your bridal party!

Fleurissimo hopes that this timeline has been helpful and wishes you all the best in your wedding planning journey!
